Street Style YXE

Growing up we were told not to talk to strangers…unless of course they were fabulously dressed.  In which case chat them up, take their photo and tell them how awesome they are. So when the Fringe Festival came to Saskatoon I knew there would be no better place to find extraordinarily dressed people strutting their stuff on the streets as if it was their own personal runway.  #workit
You may wonder why all the people below are stunning young men.  Ladies, before you get you knickers in a knot, because we all know you too can be trendsetters, let me tell you that this lil escapade was a contest brought to you by the lovely menswear blogger “We, the Timeless” and local menswear boutique ‘Banjo Outpost’ to win some swag.
*As a disclaimer my parents didn’t really tell us that it was ok to talk to fabulously dressed strangers, only to talk to strangers with candy. JKJK!! I HAD GOOD PARENTS!! gary

The ‘B’ family {maternity}

Arrive into Washington on Wednesday and I’m shooting by Thursday night!  How did I get so lucky?!  Our very generous friends came over from Spokane to help us set up house, so the least I could do was photograph them as they look forward to welcoming a little one into their lives.

We are so excited for September to come so we can finally meet this little girl.  Now it will be our turn to buy the noisy toys, science experiments and candy for their little one! (insert wicked laugh here)  Ps. Noah likes the name Quinty.brown1dbrown7brown3brown9brown6brown8brown10

Another ‘C’ family before I go

This was a bittersweet moment for me…my last session before I head up to Washington.  I warned Margaret, the mom of these stunning girls, that things may be a little chaotic but there was no way I wanted to miss the opportunity to photograph them.  Fortunately, she was game to board the crazy train with me!   Thank you for your patience and trust in allowing me photograph your sweet daughters.

The ‘C’ Family

Meet the C family.  I’ve known Yanti and her family for 4 years and she’s got be one of the hardest working women I know.  As the owner of the local Pizza Guys, she knows how to make a mean pizza which makes her one of the best kinds of friends a stay at home mom could have;)

Our family has enjoyed spending countless hours with her and her kids and they hold a special place in our heart.  You could even go as far as to say they hold a special pizza our heart…

Canada day

In Canada, when July 1st rolls around we get all patriotic and stuff.  Painting our faces red and white, eating poutine for breakfast, lunch and supper, and tuning into our favourite radio stations to listen to the most requested song of the day, “Oh, Canada.”  I’ll have to say that while all those things get my inner Canadian rage on, nothing beats dressing up your best friend in a red and white flag, stamped with a maple leaf to show true authentic Canadian pride.

Big thanks to my partner in crime Jec Graham for being a good sport and an amazing model.  Add a, “I double doggie dare ya” and she’s game.  Another big thanks to Momma Graham for the donation of the flag, because even though we are super patriotic and all that, let’s face it, two broke college kids can’t afford a $60 flag. #shouldabeenagolddigger
