MBFW – September 12, 2011

We love a Betsey Johnson day. She brings color, fun and entertainment and this year was no different. We love a Perry Ellis runway day. He always brings out the boys. We loved the randomness of the people we saw today…a country music singer, a soap star and a rapper. Yes, today was a good day.

Leanne Marshall S/S 2012 Collection

Say What? That’s right! Full Access to the Leanne Marshall runway show. Leanne was the winner of Season 5 of Project Runway aaaaaaaaaaaaand grew up in…..Yuba City! Woot, Woot! This is her 6th season showing at New York Fashion Week and we were super stoked to photograph the event.

Here is a look at Leanne’s eco-friendly Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Her use of bamboo jersey, organic cotton, traditional silk and hemp silk architecturally sculpted made for some serious eye candy! Dreamy hues of ivory, lavender blue and yellow billowed on the runway before us. Critics are calling it “youthful elegance” and “girlish sophistication”.

MBFW – September 10, 2011

Saturday was an amazing day! Most of our time was spent at an off site show where we had backstage passes (you’ll have to wait and see who in an upcoming post!) and back at the tents Jenn chatted up a pretty buff vampire. Oh, and Dre had peas for the first time (gag!).

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week – September 9, 2011

It’s that time again! Soooo excited! Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2012. This season Jenn and I had to operate a little differently now that little Dre had entered the world. We weren’t able to fit in full days this time around but we definitely have some goodies to share just the same. Keep checking back for new posts!

Randy “The Natural” Couture

Wayne and I are big UFC fans…so one of the best parts of Arnold Classic was getting to meet Randy Couture and attend his workshop. For those of you unfamiliar with Couture, he is an American mixed martial artist and many consider him to be one of the greatest in MMA history.

Strikeforce had a booth at the Expo and had guests like Nick Diaz and Antonio “Big Foot” Silva. Strikeforce is a U.S.-based mixed martial arts and kickboxing organization, similar to UFC.
