Fresh off the jet…sharper than Gillette….

We love having visitors and this week we had Cole, a friend of Wayne’s, come visit. It was nice to have someone who shares my love from WEEZY!! Thanks for coming Cole, we had a blast!

Overheard in New York:
Unwitting tourist to hot dog vendor: Can I see your sausage before I buy?
Hot dog vendor: Uh…Excuse me, hon?

A few sights along our travels….

Every street you head down you see new and interesting buildings.

A quiet evening in Bryant Park

The quietest I have EVER seen Grand Central! A huge difference from the 5pm rush!

Every tree was excited, bowing, waving, swirling, tossing their branches…

March 13, Big storm here in Westchester.
It rained like mad and there was a crazy wind. Knocked the city around a bit….half a million people with no electricity-we were fine, but the next block over had no lights.
It made a mess…..Trees/signs/garbage barrels all over the city. Huge trees on the highway, knocked over lamp poles and even into houses.

You can see-in relation to the bicycle-just how big these trees were.

Hard to believe that massive trees like these would come right up from the roots…but the roots aren’t very deep. At least not as deep as I was expecting them to be.

Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn’t people feel as free to delight in whatever remains to them?

Well, it’s actually Placerville but the trees reminded me of the Berenstain Bear book ‘The Spooky Old Tree’.

I loved how these branches were so twisted…

this lil guy cracked me up…he peeked out the holes first…I grabbed my camera but wasn’t fast enough….he started up, and then looked over his shoulder like a total poser…ha ha…cute.

LOVED the colors on these plants. They were so vibrant!
