Monday@2 – family

What does your Monday at 2pm look like?

Photos in order of timezone:

I had planned at bike trip around Alajärvi Lake but duck season opened at 12 noon today, several hunters were out firing shots on the lake so I stopped at 2pm at the Pynttäri grain elevator to photograph a favorite structure.

The dad cutting up as usual…two lifts of PWF for two more quality buildings at AFAB.

Round two at college life.  I have surrendered myself to the books and studying.  #nomorelife

Cruisen’ on through Nebraska! State number 7 of the 10 states we will go through on our journey to our new life adventure in Oregon.  The flat land and huge sky remind me of beautiful ‘ol Saskatchewan!

Soon to be Eugene, Oregon, Jennifer Petays-Tschetter

Day two of being sick with a cold (a cold, in the summer?  not cool!)  So I decided to lounge instead of cleaning up the dust bunnies that have invaded my house!

The Cruz Wedding

Weddings…I don’t!   I don’t usually photograph them I mean;)  But when a friend is trying to plan a wedding within 2 months, a girl has gotta do what a girl has gotta do!  Second shoot that is, as being the sole primary photographer scares the pants off me!

Congrats Miguel and Sarah!  Your evening wedding was sweet and beautiful right down to the last detail!

What I want to be when I grow up…

This summer the boys and I hosted a ‘what i want to be when i grow up’ party.  We asked that their friends come dressed up as their future selves.  Check out their cuteness!

Shout out to Chef Guida, aka Sarah for helping with the party and grabbing the camera when I had to put it down!

Food was served for the future astronauts out there…

and the firefighters…

Food for the farmers AND drinks for sneaky mustached ninja’s.

And to top it off…the guests had their futures determined by the inside of their cupcake!

If they got a penny, they’d wind up RICH!  Girls pay close attention!  Hahaha…

A ring meant you’d get married and since the party consisted of mainly boys, most were hoping to find a button which meant they’d never get married!

If your cupcake had a baby inside it meant you’d have a family.  Again, not super popular among the boys!

It turned out to be a typical hot Cali day so the costumes didn’t stay on for long!  What was I thinking?  A costume party in the summer?!

Thank you little people for a great time! Don’t grow up too fast!

‘U’ turns One!

I always look forward to photographing this darling little family.  They always come so prepared – piles of clothing and a truck full of props!  This little guy is only one years old but already has a closet worth drooling over (and it’s not because I’m teething!)

Look closely…yep…while mom and dad were…uh…distracted, the little one takes the opportunity to gnaw on the baguette!

the S family

What a special time with some friends from back home.  The kidlets played as though they’ve known each other forever (and well, their mothers had known each since forever)!  In fact the kids played so hard they were pretty exhausted when it came time for their session.  As tired and as red as they were they did their best knowing that the night ended with their first In ‘N’ Out experience!  Thanks ‘S’ family for including us in your Norcal Trip!
