Where the wild ones go

Gray Lodge Wildlife Refuge is a vacation destination to approximately 2 million migrating birds that pass through California.  My husband and I often hike the area, binoculars and camera in hand, with our own ‘wild ones’ looking for creatures all shapes and sizes.  This makes it difficult to actually photograph the wildlife–lets just say they get a little disturbed!

The Sutter Buttes, the worlds smallest mountain range, make a beautiful backdrop for the sanctuary.  The buttes are the remnants of an ancient volcano, and are the only interruption in the 500 miles of fertile plains that make up the Central Valley.

made me click

I had not seen these before: The Bear Claw Glove. Apparently an exact replica of the gloves, John Beargrease (who delivered the mail by dog sled in Minn. from 1879-1899) wore back in his day. Interesting.

The Drop Crotch. I like the style…but few people could pull this off.

On time. Interesting necklace….?

Deep in bear country

Well, it’s actually Placerville but the trees reminded me of the Berenstain Bear book ‘The Spooky Old Tree’.

“Do they dare go into that spooky old tree?”

“Float nine feet in the air”

Spring Fashion Week was amazing…my favorite time of year! I uploaded my pictures on Facebook-so check out the album there . This blogging is still new to me and takes me a while…so for September Fashion Week…I’ll upload my pictures here.

However….I’ll do a few posts on other random things that caught my eye.

My favorite models from Spring Fashion Week.

Freja Beha

Named 3rd on the Top 50 Models Women List  (models.com)

Abbey Lee Kershaw

Ranked 13th on the Top 50 Models Women List  (models.com)

Not the most friendly of the models…but looove her look and she has great personal style. Love.

Photographer favorite Sean O’Pry

Rated second most successful male model in the world (models.com).

On a personal note….a very kind, very sweet guy! I can easily see why he is a favorite!

Our own Saskatchewn beauty, Taylor Fuchs.

Forbes ranks Fuchs as the world’s ninth top male model.

I missed seeing him this year…so thanks Cameo for the picture!
