We’re MOVING! Yes, our time in New York has finally come to an end. Wayne has received his PhD and we are ready for our next adventure. ….And that adventure is taking us to….Eugene, Oregon! Wayne scored an awesome postdoctoral position at the University of Oregon and will continue to do all kinds of smart things that I can’t even begin to try to explain on this blog post.
I don’t know anything about Eugene. In fact, the only thing I know about Oregon is from playing Oregon Trail–and that didn’t always seem to end well! I remember lots of wooden wheels falling off…and not a lot of food…..SO if you are from Eugene or been to Eugene…hit a sister up, eh!?
The rest of our summer will be packing and trying to make the most of our last month in New York! Will I miss New York? ABSOLUTELY! But the world is a big place and I can’t wait to explore another part of it.

Congratulations Wayne!!! I heard you knew where you were moving but was waiting til your sisters left to get details…….you’ve had an amazing time in NYC, you will really miss it but it’ll be fun to be in a new spot and explore a new area too. Now you’ll both be west coasters…and can’t be too far apart?? That is really awesome! I need to come see you both. xoxoox
Yes! After a small cry about leaving NY, I am now excited about what is to come! I think we will be about 8 or so hours from Melissa! Super excited about that! …and YES–please come visit!

Wow! Big stuff. I will miss you, but now I have a great excuse to come visit Oregon now. Congratulations to Wayne for doing all that hard work and getting the OK. Hopefully I can see you one last time before you head out.

I have been waiting to hear the news ever since Melissa told me that you were moving. Sad that I never went to NY while you where there but thanks for all the awesome pictures that made me feel like I was there! Love your description about Oregon Trail…I well remember those days…haha. And yes a big Congrats to Wayne!!
Well hey! We are still here for a few more weeks! You can still come! And if not, you take a trip down the coast to see Melissa…and stop and see us on the way!
