When I first walked into Kelsi’s vintage tea party themed bridal shower I felt like I had walked into every “bride to be’s” dream Pinterest board. Everything from food, to decor, to party favours were beyond perfection. Not to mention the stunning bride herself! Everything was picture perfect, a photographers dream!
I wish Kelsi and Garrett all the best on their wedding day and in their future together!
BAM! WE’RE MOVING TO SEATTLE!!
David has accepted a new job in Seattle and so this summer we will be Washington bound. Let me clarify ‘we’. David, Melissa, Noah, Simon, Rex, Spike, Isabella Iris Vom Shtal, Russia, Venom and Tiger. The rest, well, they just weren’t up for the trip.
Yes, we will miss our friends, house, pool and property and most obviously the round golden ball of sunshine…don’t even get me started. But you know what? Bring on the adventure. We can handle it!

In Canada when the thermometers go above 15 degrees Celsius and our igloos begin to melt we pull out our summer wardrobe, our sunscreen and our sunglasses; we don’t want to blind anyone with that pasty white skin we acquired during the winter months. So call us crazy for picnicking when it’s only a few degrees above freezing but we know there’s nothing a Vancouver Canucks fleece blanket can’t handle.
This year Noah made the difficult decision between having a party with his friends or going to Safari West, a wildlife preserve located in Sonoma County. Much to my relief he choose the latter. Safari West was the perfect gift for my animal loving son, not to mention an easier event to organize than a boy’s birthday party at our home. Hah! Take that Pinterest!

In the Boho world pineapples are in. So when cruising through the grocery store the other night I decided to pass by the pineapple section and see what all the hype was about. My inner Nicole Richie couldn’t resist. $4.95 later, pineapple and Coachella vibes in tow, we hit the mean streets of Regina to photograph the carefree vibes of a pineapple.
