Sweet Elizabeth II {children}

What little girl doesn’t love to dress in her mom’s high heels?  Well, Elizabeth is no different!  It was a pleasure to photograph this little dolly again, this time marking her 2 year birthday!  Happy Birthday, Elizabeth!

I’m in love…

…with my TOMS!  I remember reading about the One for One Movement a few years back…TOMS matches every pair of shoes purchased with a new pair of shoes given to a child without.  Last week I frequented the mall a few more times than usual and started to spot the TOMS trend with the mall employees.  Being a formal retail worker, I figured that if they were wearing them, then not only were they trendy but they MUST be comfortable too!  Not to mention you’re supporting a fantastic cause!  Today I wore them for the first time during a photo session (involving chasing around an adorable 2-year-old) and they were dessert for my feet!

the B girls {maternity}

Awh, seriously?!  I SO wished I had looked this good when I was 32 weeks preggers.  Actually, I would have loved to have looked this good anytime I was pregnant!  Instead I could have passed as a puffer fish!  Lacy, you look radiant and we’re all a little jealous!

Grace {Newborn}

“I do not at all understand the mystery of grace – only that it meets us where we are but does not leave us where it found us.” – anne lamott

Born early at 27 weeks and weighing in at only 2 lbs 13 oz, Baby Grace and her mom fought to survive.  The term ‘small but mighty’ definitely applies to my dear friend and her new daughter.  Grace came home tiny, but healthy to her parents after 8 weeks in the NICU.  It seems no coincidence that she was born on Thanksgiving.  Reminding all of us how much we have to be thankful for and the value of each day.  Happy Mothers Day, Nicole!

Balancing the break

Here’s me trying to find balance while my kindergartener was home ALL day for many days over Easter break. Balance…uh huh…whatever that means…

Day one…Location scouting.  How fun!  Just what every boy dreams to do on their day off, right?

Day two…Games day. How is it that the youngest always wins? and without help?

Day three…kitchen time. Noah’s favorite – homemade cheesecake!

and hey, let’s throw some cheesecake into the cupcake mix…I mean…recipe…

Day four…bowling with the boys for the first time.  We’re still waiting for Simon’s ball to roll down the lane…

Day 5 and 6…San Francisco. First stop, Exploratorium.

Fort Mason was holding an event called Off The Grid.  Loved this roach coach fest. Such yummy smells, interesting food and live music.

I’m always so impressed when the boys are willing to try new foods.

And the SF zoo. You will never see Noah so happy as at the zoo. It’s like he feels at home…

Not being much of an animal person, I trend watch.  Wishing for extinction on some things and the preservation of others!
