Fall Fashion Week adventures, Day 2!

Today started out FANTASTIC! I went to the Ruffian Fashion Show and backstage to Porter Grey-will post pictures soon! Spent most of the day with my Fashion Week Family and saw plenty of fashion royalty…here are some snaps from my day…..

Kellen Lutz (of Twilight) leaving Lacoste. This guy is sooo nice I always think he must have some Canadian roots! Seriously one of the nicest male celebrities I have ever met.

Ladies leaving the Jill Stuart Show

Nicki Reed

Always a smile on Kelly Bensimon of Real Housewives of New York

Olivia Palermo-Love her or hate her…this girl has amazing style and is simply gorgeous!

Headed downtown to the Prabal Gurung fashion show.

One of the first people I see, Bill Cunningham! Bill basically started the street fashion photography movement. He is a rockstar in my eyes.

Joe Zee, another rad guy. I mean, what 44-year-old can pull off this look besides him!? Love it!

Hal Rubenstein, Fashion Director of InStyle. I like this quote from his biography on The Huffington Post, “Hal was born in New York and has never seen any reason to live anywhere else.” How true!

Derek Blasberg (Editor at large of Harper’s Bazaar) interviewing Elettra Wiedemann (model and daughter of Isabella Rossellini)

Ken Downing, Fashion Director at Neiman Marcus.

Some of the more ‘colorful crowd’

Mickey Boardman + Kim Hastreiter of Paper Magazine

Lynn Yaeger, Vogue contributor.

Socialite, Michelle Harper

And last of all another fabulous Canadian, Stylist Brad Goreski!

Next up was the VPL fashion show! Pictures are poor, as the place was packed and we arrived late. After a few unsuccessful snaps, I put my camera away and simply enjoyed the show!

Backstage with the designer, Victoria Barlett.

Headed back to Lincoln Center to see the star-studded Herve Leger by Max Azria letting out.

Our beautiful Canadian Coco Rocha

Kristin Chenoweth-always so sweet!

One of my favorite pictures of the weekend….fighting with the papps to get to Camila Alves (Brazilian model).

Torrey Devito of Pretty Little Liars and Vampire Diaries.

DJ Harley Viera Newton (doesn’t she just have the coolest name!?)

One of my favorite fashion bloggers, Hanneli.

Another one of my favorite shots of the weekend. Poppy Montgomery (actress on Unforgettable)…who was going into her FIRST fashion show ever. What a great first show!

Little superstar Nina Dobrev (Raised in Canada!) of The Vampire Diaries.

And another cool cool man, Designer Max Azria. He must be one of the hardest working people in fashion, with 6 clothing collections!!!…not to mention 6 children!!! Where does he find the time and energy…!?

Day 2…and it is COLD! But as the ever optimistic Bobby says, “FREE AIR CONDITIONING! I love it!” So with that attitude we crack open our hand warmers, adjust our hats and try to find a few rays of sunshine. Here’s a few shots from the day.

The Designers

These are a few of the designers we managed to photograph as they left their shows.

Marc by Marc Jacobs chose ’70s silhouettes in bright stripes.

With rocker husband Gavin Rossdale and son Kingston sitting front-row, Gwen Stefani for L.A.M.B. delivered an African-inspired collection.  And wow, does this lady have a following!  A large crowd gathered in the drizzling rain waiting for the designer/singer/songwriter to exit the building.

“For spring 2011, we were inspired by the stylish film, ‘White Mischief’. We were fascinated by the idea of a woman with a very languid, proper veneer with a smoldering sensuality just beneath the surface.” Mark Badgley and James Mischka

Carolina Herrera’s line was inspired by two things:  the traditional clothes of Korea and botanical plates collected in the eighteenth century.

Michael Kors ‘naturaluxe’ style was relaxed sophistication.

Isaac Mizrahi’s spring collection was called IM Xerox, his take on photocopy-like prints.

Tracey Reese’s muse was a traveler of both time and space.

Herve Leger by Max Azria, well-known for his bandage dress, presented a corseted Marie Antoinette of the future.  His wife, Lubov Azria, is of course in one of his latest creations.

Cah razy colorful Betsey Johnson used a bike ride through New York City as her runway setting.  La Tour de Betsey stopped in Brooklyn, Central Park and ended at Times Square.  She then finished her show with her signature cartwheel…we also need to mention she’s 68 years old!?!
