Shooting street fashion is loads of fun and I wish I had dedicated more time to it this year. Nonetheless here are a few snaps from the fashion forward and fashion backward. Once again, we will let you decide what trends you love and hate.

I will end my fashion week adventures with a great sign I saw in the subway headed home….ha ha..makes me smile!
It is amazing how fast things can change in the modeling industry. One year you are the girl next door American model Karlie Kloss walking in NYFW…the next, a Supermodel and Victoria Secret model, Karlie Kloss, who is too huge to walk in NYFW! Male model favorite Sean O’Pry mentioned that this may be his last year walking runway, as he is getting too old (he is only 22!). I wish I had another blog of the male hotties from Fashion Week….but unfortunately I didn’t see any! I guess just the timing of the shows–and the days I attended didn’t work out. Too bad. So let me just add a photo of my favorite male model of all time….
Backstage at Porter Grey!!!
For those of you unfamiliar with this line, Porter Grey is an American contemporary sportswear line, founded and run by sisters Kristen and Alexandra O’Neill.
I love this photo…I think that being backstage is so glamorous! The models, the clothes, the designers, celebs etc. But while that is all true…some parts are simply not so fun. It’s cold. It’s boring as you wait for the next look to get ready. The reporters and photographers are always bumping into each other or getting into each others shot. It’s very small with a hundred people all crowding in. And everyone thinks THEIR job is the most important one of all…PR, security, papps, models etc… ANYWAYS….I love the reality of this picture….two cold and uncomfortable, bored models amongst all the chaos.
The hair team was led by Rebecca Naftzger for Cutler. “She blow-dried the models’ hair with a round brush and curled it with a one-and-a-half-inch curling iron while leaving out the ends. It created this big subtle wave, which complemented the clothes perfectly.”

Jose Rivera,the makeup artist leading the Sephora PRO Beauty team emphasized clean skin; wind-blown cheeks to indicate an outdoorsy, ready-to-face-the-elements strength; a rich and saturated black lash line and an understated and deconstructed lip look with scattered golden shimmer.

Cold or not…here I am! And happy to be here!
There is nothing like fashion week to make you realize that you’ve become lazy with fashion. Since having Dre, I’ve let myself slip into the ‘comfortable dressing’ zone. I mean, who needs to wear 6 inch heels to storytime? Or why bother curling your hair just for a trip to Toys R Us? But I saw Rachel Zoe (who’s baby Skylar is the same age as Dre) and she is looking AMAzing! Nina Garcia….gORGeous! Molly Sims is prego and rockin’ the heels! So here’s to stepping it up!
This February there were even fewer celebs than usual…and some of my favorite models are no longer walking in NYFW (ahhum karly kloss!) BUT I attended 2 shows and was backstage at another…so that made up for it. Over the next week I will try to blog my Fashion Week adventures….Stay tuned!
