Have you ever had someone on your instagram that you just secretly admire from afar? Of course you do. We all have people on our social media that we admire, whether it be for their clothing, their lifestyle, or maybe they just always have the best memes. For me, that person is Eddy. I have been following Eddy for a year or so now, admiring his personal style and how everything he wears just makes him look effortlessly cool. Every time he would post a new photo I found myself thinking ‘I’d love to photograph him’. So I finally worked up the courage to slide into the DM’s and ask him if he’d want to meet up for a photoshoot. The results were nothing less then unreal!

Shout out to Eddy for being so unbelievably photogenic and for taking time out of a busy summer schedule to meet up with me!

Vanessa’s Runway to Reality {Second Edition}

Green: To be truthful I hate the color green because it reminds me of money and my lack thereof. However, seeing it on the runway this season has given me a fresh appreciation for the color and has inspired me to purchase some green pieces of my own. Bonuses of the trend…not only does it look great on any skin tone but because it comes in so many different shades it makes it easy to get your monochrome trend on fleek.

Fringe: When I saw fringe was a trend from NYFW Spring/Summer 2016 I was like HOLLA!! I’ve had this fringe skirt in my closet for a while now but I’ve always felt kinda “flapper girl” wearing it. But thanks to Christian Siriano, Rebecca Minkoff, and Banana Republic, fringe no longer belongs to the “flapper girl” era. Fringe has now been transformed into something that can be seen and worn everywhere, from the tried and true fringe bags, to fringed hemlines and fringed ponchos!

Jenn’s Runway to Reality

My youngest son is almost 10 months…so by now I SHOULD be looking fabulous and have the 2 kids out the door by 9am. But let’s be honest…some days it’s noon and I’m still in my pj’s. I mean, when the baby naps….you DO NOT rummage around in the drawers and open closet doors. Sleeping babies are not to be disturbed, even if the garbage man thinks I only own yoga pants!

With that being said…I have enjoyed following the fashion trends this year. It’s always refreshing to buy a few new items to freshen up your wardrobe. Here are my 2 picks for this fall.

White on White. While I love all the white on white I was seeing on the runway and streets this year, I have to be realistic. When a mom wears white…it’s ASKING for muddy handprints and food smears! I decided to pair a white tee with some fun light acid wash jeans. Perfect for sitting in the sand and not worrying about not getting dirty. Not to mention the rainy season approaching…the wash on these jeans perfectly hide those annoying little splashes that get on my pant legs.

Calf Length skirts.  With the temperatures dropping a bit for the fall weather…why not drop our hemlines a little too?  This is a trend that short people like me tend to stay away from. Skirts this length can cut you off and make you look even shorter. But with the higher waist, shirt tucked in and heels…I think it’s a trend that I can work with.

Street Style

Shooting street fashion is loads of fun and I wish I had dedicated more time to it this year. Nonetheless here are a few snaps from the fashion forward and fashion backward. Once again, we will let you decide what trends you love and hate.
