A Breath of Fresh Air

A few weeks ago Curt and I planned a trip out to Lake Louise in Banff, Alberta to get our snowboarding fix in for the year. When I wasn’t plotting revenge on that FJ cruiser that cut us off to get to the ski hill one second faster, I was snapping photos faster than a hipster at Starbucks. So please, put on your 3D goggles and enjoy the show!

Also if you get the chance to sit it out or dance… just kidding I was gunna say if you get the chance to be in Calgary, stop in at The Uncommons in Inglewood. Seriously the coolest store ever!

And I feel like this post wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t include an obligatory selfie stick photo with dumpsters and mountains in the background. What a view 😉

‘Tis the Season

In Canada when the thermometers go above 15 degrees Celsius and our igloos begin to melt we pull out our summer wardrobe, our sunscreen and our sunglasses; we don’t want to blind anyone with that pasty white skin we acquired during the winter months. So call us crazy for picnicking when it’s only a few degrees above freezing but we know there’s nothing a Vancouver Canucks fleece blanket can’t handle.

Meet Vanessa

Let me start with a quick intro:

In the summer of 2013, I moved to a city I wasn’t too fond of for schooling and decided in order to pass my time I needed a hobby. Instead of choosing something healthy like jogging or something productive like learning to cook, I chose photography. It’s better than gambling I figured, so one point for Vanessa. After taking photos with my iPhone for the mens fashion blog ‘We, the Timeless’ I decided to step up my game and make a SLR purchase. Yolo.

I’ve always admired my older sisters. I mean, who wouldn’t. They’re gorgeous, amazing women and of course their photography is always spot on. I have always been the lil tag along sister, so once again I’m going to tag along and show you ‘what makes me click’.

Will these memories fade when I leave this town? {teens + seniors}

These two are ridiculous to be around! Sarcasm, dry wit and inside jokes are at an ultimate high when you hang out with them. It’s like they have their own language. Them being, my baby sis and Jessica, her partner-in-crime. These were taken on one of my last days visiting my parents in Saskatchewan. Could they be more radiant?! Not sure how they’ll survive without one another come fall? Vanessa will be five hours away at U of S and Jessica will stay and finish her last year of high school. Just remember dear girls, that the road to a friend’s house is never long.
